FORGOTTEN MEMORIES - Artist Statement
Memories are often buried through the interior of our lives. A plethora of life's moments, wonderful and not so wonderful, forever changed inside an inhabitable world. The buildings were once occupied by home owners, hotel guests, mental institution patients, prisoners, decommissioned military personnel, ship workers, mill operators and miners. The energy of its former inhabitants/tenants is forever imprinted and encapsulated within these walls. It leaves my imagination to wonder what was once there and how it still breathes despite its visual emptiness.
